Handcrafted Objects for Intentional Living.
At Common Grain, we believe everyday objects should be made with care and built to last. From selecting the wood to applying the final finish, every piece is crafted by hand, revealing the unique grain, texture, and character that make it one of a kind.
Meet the Maker
Rahil Taj is the maker behind Common Grain, hand carving each piece one at a time from carefully selected hardwoods. Every object begins as a simple block of wood and is shaped slowly using traditional carving tools, allowing the natural grain to guide the final form.
No two pieces are ever the same. Knots, grain patterns, and subtle variations are embraced rather than hidden, making each item uniquely its own. Designed to be used every day and kept for generations, each piece reflects a belief that the objects we live with should carry character, craftsmanship, and a story.
